PLANET ROCK - CD COVER
A CD cover of an instrumental song, Afrika Bambaataa's Planet Rock, which was released by Tommy Boy Records in 1982.
This song is electronic but with "a lot of funk and heavy bass". When I first listened to this song, it reminded me of a surreal game in a futuristic city. After doing some research on it, I found this song was created in the 1980s. Then, I decided to create a Vaporwave recorder sleeve instead of making a cyberpunk style sleeve.

I used vector shapes to create the word "PLANET" as the main image of the record sleeve. Also, I added pastel gradients to it and bent it into an "S" shape. In order to make it looked more vintage, I also used the colour halftone effect. Then duplicated it and made a double exposure effect to evoke a sense of "psychedelic". To mimic the VHS static effect, I added a noise layer making the whole image more vintage-like.
